Easy Apple Dumplings


1 tube (6 to 8) Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
2 to 3 large apples, peeled, cored and halved
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1/2 cup water
2 tsp butter, melted


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Separate crescent rolls. 
Flatten and stretch each piece. Mix sugar and cinnamon. 
Roll apple portions in this mixture; divide apple pieces evenly among rolls. 
Fold dough over apples and pinch to close openings. Place in baking dish.  
Mix water, butter, and any leftover sugar-cinnamon mixture. Pour over dumplings. 
Cover with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes or until brown.  
You can slice apples thinly to reduce baking time and temperature.
